Red Belt...

It's official my little karate man is a red belt! This is the last belt before he switches classes. I can't believe it's already time for him to switch! He had testing on February 25th and flew threw it! Such a smart talented boy!
OK...just because I like this picture...my baby girl and I. She is HUGE!

Here is my karate kid waiting with Bricen.

In this one he is the one standing up bowing.

Running up to accept his red belt.

Of course his sister was there to cheer him on, she felt the need to put Bricen's belt on her head.

Colten, and Bricen with their new belts on!

Goofy kid!

Here they are waiting with all the other karate cubs.

His sister is REALLY good at cheering him on.

During testing they had to throw medicine balls into a hoop...pretty sure I couldn't do this!

Colten your parents are SO proud of you...keep up the great work!

Happy Birthday To Me...

My birthday (and my brother's) was back on March 4th. I have to start by saying I LOVE my birthday. It is always a great day. I think I like it even more now that I am a mommy. What is better than having three sweet faces sing happy birthday to you? That however is not why I love my birthday. I love it because it is the one day of the entire year that I can do WHATEVER I want and not have to feel guilty about it. It is my day and it gets to be all about me (and my brother, it is his day too, but really mostly mine!). I know that probably sound awful but since I have become a mom I love having my one day a year. There is nothing better than my children but every now and again you need a guilt free non-caring day. A day when someone else worries about all the details. My wonderful husband goes above and beyond every year so that I can have the perfect day. This year he scheduled me a massage and a pedicure on Saturday (the day before my birthday). On Sunday morning he arranged it so I could sleep in (took all the kids to the grandma's since he had to work)let me just tell you I slept until about 11 and it was beyond wonderful. I can not remember the last time that I have gotten to sleep that late. He also made arrangements for both lunch and dinner. I did let my brother pick where he wanted to go for lunch and he picked the olive garden which I enjoy too. After lunch we had blast ball followed by a nap for me! At dinner everyone came over for some taco lucha and gifts. Again my husband went above and beyond (a coach wallet, and ice cream cake). I hope he knows how much I appreciate everything he does for me to make my day so special. It is appreciated more than he will ever know! Like I said Happy Birthday to me. It really was a perfect day surrounded by our wonderful family.
Uncle Brett the birthday boy with two of his nieces.

She was to tired from keeping her mama up all night to enjoy the festivities!

My big boy and I at lunch...I promise he does love me...maybe not as much as he loves to color but he does love me despite the look on his face.

Auntie Whit and Grandma.

Bricen!

I did allow Grandpa Mike and Uncle Dan to put together Aubrey's barbie house...in a way this task was about me too because it meant that I didn't have to do it later!

Not sure where all these from...in the blink of the eye we have gone from having 0 kids around to having 7! Crazy I know.

Little Mya loves to eat!

Like I said the perfect day!

Blast Ball...

Well as if our lives were not busy enough we decided to take on one more activity and enroll Colten in blast ball. He is having a GREAT time doing it and I think it is safe to say he is the most serious kid in the session. He is ALL over the gym and runs after EVERY ball hit. When asked he will tell you that his favorite position is either pitching or playing first base.
Here he is getting ready to hit. He can not decide if he wants to be left handed or right!

Waiting in line.

This is what Aubrey does to stay occupied!

Grandma with Claire.

His turn to hit again.

He is off to first base!

Pitcher!

We are still trying to find a t-ball team he can play for this spring. Unfortunatly Manhattan won't let you play until you are six so we are going to see if one of the smaller towns that surround us will let him play there!

4 Years, and 4 Months...

Wow. So WAY back on February 24th I took Claire in for her four month appointment, and Aubrey in for her four year appointment...crazy I know! Both girls were given good bills of health. We will start with Aubrey. Aubrey weighted in at 36 pounds which put her in the 60th percent for weight, and is 3 feet 3 and a 1/2 inches tall which is the 47th percent. I was sort of surprised that she was in the 60th percent for weight as she is a lot smaller than a lot of the girls that go to school with her. Developmentally she is doing things that a six year old should be doing. She still likes to throw her fits so in that aspect she definitely does not act like a six year old. She is a such smart and loving little girl.Claire oh Claire. Claire weighted in at 14.13 pounds which puts her in the 74th percent for weight, her height is 25.5 inches which is the 89th percentile, and her head was 42.5cm which is the 85th percent. Needless to say she is growing way to fast. I have no clue where she gets her height as neither Justin or I have any. Other than reflux issues she was told she is doing great.
Have I ever mentioned that we are so blessed to have three healthy, amazing kids?

Playdate at the Park...

Last Sunday the kids and I had a great play date at Bergman. It was such a beautiful day, and the fresh air did us all a lot of good! Colten, and Aubrey were SO excited to see Brady.
Aubrey, and Brady rode to the park in style!

This girl LOVES to slide.

Wild man!

We had lots of fun swinging.

Once we were tired of the "big" park we walked around and went for a rid on dinosaurs!

Thanks for coming with us Brady...Colten, and Aubrey can't wait to do it again.

4 Years Old...

Yesterday my sweet baby girl turned four years old. I do not know how this is possible. I know I say it all the time but time goes SO fast. Yesterday as I was looking at her I really tried to enjoy the moment as I knew it would be gone in the blink of an eye. I am beyond blessed to be able to call you mine. Aubrey you have such a wonderful personality, you are so caring, thoughtful, talented, brave, and compassionate. You decided yesterday that since it was your birthday you get to make the rules all day. That you were in charge. I love (and hate) that quality about you. You let people know what you think and have such an opinion to voice. When I found out I was pregnant with you I had so many mixed emotions. I spent the first 20 weeks praying for a baby girl and not only did God answer my prayers he went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you Aubrey for being you! Thank you for bringing us more Joy, and happiness than we could ever imagine. I love watching you, and your brother together, and I know some day you will have a wonderful relationship with your baby sister too. Please know that on days I am short on patience, or hugs that I love you with all my heart. Remind me that you truly are life's most precious gift. Always know that we are here to love and support you in EVERY aspect of your life. I hope you had an amazing 4th / 1st birthday, and I look foward to celebrating a life time of birthday's with you!
