Happy Birthday America...

We had a wonderful fourth of July. We were fortunate to spend lots of time with both friends, and family. On the 3rd we had a get together at our house and it was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed the night with their friends, and we enjoyed some time with our friends. On the fourth we had family back over for a cook-out and fireworks. Again everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The kids LOVED the fireworks this year. Colten, and Aubrey both really enjoyed holding the roman candles, and watching dad run after he lit items off! We are so fortunate with everything we have been blessed with due to the fact that we live in the good ole USofA, and I am glad we get a day each year dedicated to remembering that!

Big Kids Class...

Colten is really enjoying the advanced class at karate. He is thriving in it and has once again shown us that he can do ANYTHING he puts his mind to. I was a little surprised the first night as he is the youngest child in there by at least two years. He really did not let that bother him and went straight to work! I think we are going to have to spend more time "practicing" our moves but other than that it appears the adjustment in class is exactly what he needed to regain focus. Let me just say if i was thrown into a class with 40 year old men, and women I would be intimidated, and he is not at all! We are so proud of you buddy! Keep up the hard work.

Wamego Fair...

We attended the Wamego fair last Saturday, and Sunday night. The kids had a ball, and so did the adults. Do to storms that arrived shortly after we did Saturday night our time was cut short so we decided to return the following night. The kids asked about 875468786 during the day when we were going. It was adorable how excited they were, and how they kept telling each other what they wanted to do.
How is Aubrey on the dinosaur during night one!
Colten took GREAT care of Addison.
Blowing kisses!  She is so sweet.
Those were literally the only rides we got in before having to leave due to the storm.
Miss Claire was excited to return on night two.
However I do not think she was as excited as these two.
Mya had NO idea where she was going but she was thrilled to be going.
We decided to hit the fish up first.
Colten decided after riding once that this was a "baby" ride and he was done with it.
I think Amyah rode this about 1000 times during the course of the night.
Colten loved the slide.  Aubrey loved it as long as someone slid with her.
Tilt A Whirl was a hit this year as well.  All the kids loved it.
Colten also took part in the dunk tank festivities.
He did not dunk the person but came close!
Colten and Auntie Whit rode all the scary rides.  It's crazy to think that he is big enough to do all the rides!
He is hard to see but he enjoyed the swings.
The girls stuck to calmer rides.
They had a ball on them!
Miss Claire, and Carter were content watching, and taking everything in.
She was SO tired at the end.
This was literally two seconds after the one above!
We can't wait to do it all again when the fair comes to Manhattan!
