Wow!

What a Crazy couple of weeks it has been! We have been very fortunate and been able to spend lots of time with friends and family. Unfortunately we have had camera issues (it probably has nothing to do with me dropping it in a bucket of water) and there are not many pictures to share from this great time we were able to spend together! Here is a picture of the kids warn out on the way home from Wichita. Again I apologize that this is all I have to share! I wish I could get the pictures that did turn out!

Purple Power Play

As you all know the College Football Season is upon us. We are so excited for another year of College Sports and to have something to do again on the weekends! Last night the baseball team was a part of the action and was up on stage at the Purple Power Play. It is just a pep rally to get everyone excited for the first game. The kids had a lot of fun walking around and seeing all the booths!

And there is Justin on stage with Coach Hill. Coach had LOTS of really nice things to say about Justin in front of everyone! We are so glad that he is so good at his job!

We are very excited for this weekend and are thinking about going back down there tonight! The kids loved it. We also have a shower for Baby April (Aunt Sara and Uncle Dan's Baby)...no April is not really the name it is just what Colten calls her! We cant wait to have lots of fun with everyone!

Poor Colten

Last night was very busy for the Tadtman family. We went out to eat when Justin and I got home from work, (I know I was being lazy) and then headed to hyvee to get supplies to make treats for a function we are attending tonight. We got home about 7:30 and started in on our treats. About 8:00 I noticed that Colten was completely covered in hives. In a matter of minutes he went from having three of four to being completely covered. Naturally it scared me to death so Justin and I decided to take him to the emergency room to be looked at. They came to the conclusion that it was an allergic reaction to something (we aren't sure what yet)and told us to watch it very close. Well while we were there Colten fell and bit his lip. It bleed a ton and got very fat! It looks a little better today but he told me several times this morning that it hurt him. Poor baby boy. I thought I would share a picture of him that we took last night on the way home. The poor boy just couldn't catch a break! As you can see by the end of the night he was one tired boy.

PS I thought I would give you a school update as well. He is doing better when we drop him off. He still does not really want to stay but it is nothing like it was. We are thankful for that and know that in time he will love it. We just can't wait to be at the day where he loves it!

Hyvee

As all of you probably know Manhattan just opened a Hyvee and the kids love going there because of their carts (anything to make taking them to the store easier)! I thought I would post a picture of them in the carts because they are VERY cute!

Colten and Aubrey were very picky about who got to push them. It was very cute. Who knew you could have so much fun at the grocery store?

Like I said we had a great trip to the grocery store but the one thing I was totally shocked by was all the people who had the car carts but no kids in them or near them...Is that weird to any one else? Why on earth would you want to push around a huge cart if you didn't have to? I guess some things will remain a mystery!

The Park

It has been a beautiful week out and actually pretty nice in the evenings so the kidos and I decided to take a little trip to Cico Park (Colten's favorite). We had a lot of fun and needless to say neither one of them wanted to leave. We hope to be able to do this lots more as fall starts to come our way.

The End of Summer

It's official! Summer is over! Much to our disappointment summer has come to an end and it's back to our crazy schedule. I can not believe how fast this summer went! The students started back to school yesterday and Justin is back to being extremely busy at work. Oh well I guess that's life! We attempted to go to the pool last night and when we got there saw that they had already shut down for the season. The kids were very disappointed but I thought that I would post some pictures of them on the way.

Since Cico was closed we went up to the pool at Grandma Karen's clubhouse! I didnt get to take any pictures since the pool is deep and we have to watch them pretty close, but we did have a good time...other than the fact that the water was very cold!

Happy Birthday Grandma Donna!

Grandma Donna celebrated her 60th Birthday on the 19th and we just wanted to say Happy Birthday. We had a lot of fun celebrating with her on her special day. Unfortunately I dropped my camera in a bucket of water while picking up food for her birthday dinner, so we don't have any pictures to post! It really is a very sad story but we wanted to say Happy Birthday any ways and that we were glad we got to spend the evening with you!

On a happy note after taking the camera apart and charging the batter it works! We tested it out last night and I decided to post the test pictures. Enjoy....As you can see our test objects were the family members that don't get a whole lot of attention these days.

School Update!

Well as I mentioned Colten started school on Monday. He seems to enjoy it for the most part but cries when he has to stay. I really hope that this doesn't last long. It is so sad to see him so upset and unsure of where he is. When I go to pick him up he is always playing and having a great time but then as the night goes on he tells us he isn't going back. It is a very sad story and I really hope he gets over it soon!

School!

Well Colten started School yesterday! I can't believe how fast the time went and that he is already starting pre-school! He loved it and is ready to go back today. It amazes me that he went so eaisly and was fine when we left. What a good boy!

I thought I would give you all a reminder of where Colten started. Here he is just a couple of days old. It's crazy to think about how fast time goes and I can not imaigne our life with out him. Thanks so much to everyone who helped us get him to where he is today. We love you Colten and are so glad that you enjoy school!

As everything is Colten's first day of school was very bitter sweet. We wish that we had two to send but thank God that Jeret has helped get Colten to where he is today. We miss you Jeret! Mommy and Daddy love you!

Kansas City!

Justin and I decided to take the kids to the new water park in Kansas City this weekend and we had an AWESOME time. It was so nice to get away with them and just enjoy the day. Even though it was a little cool we managed to stay for about five hours and only got rained on one time! The kids had an awesome time and so did Justin and I (we didn't bring the camera in because I wasn't convinced that there would be a good place to put it). After we left the water park we decided to go ahead and stay the night in Kansas City. We took the kidos over to the dinosaur cafe at the Legends to eat and then to Dave and Buster's. It was so much fun and we wish that we could do stuff like this all the time.

Okay so this one wasn't taken in Kansas City but I thought that I would share it anyways. We had some good Mommy Colten time Friday night.

Today is also a BIG day for Colten. He starts preschool today and we can't wait to hear all about it tonight. I can't believe how big he's gotten. I'm sure Aubrey and Grandma won't know what to do without him!

Colten the Photographer

Well this weekend we went to Justin's cousins wedding in Wichita. It was a beautiful wedding and we had a lot of fun. It was nice to see all of Justin's mom side of the family. Colten decided he wanted to take picture so rather than fight him for the camera I let him! He had lots of fun and it kept him entertained for a long time. The result of this was that we dont have any good pictures of the kids..oh well. Hope you enjoy. Congratulations again Amanda and Ryan!
