Mother's Day...

Our children were born
Into safety and warmth
Placed in the cradle
Of your loving arms

Hungry mouths fed
Storybooks read
Clothes pulled and placed
over little arms and legs

Diapers are changed
Bottoms are bathed
When Daddy is helping
They still call your name

All through the night
We answer their cries
But only your voice
Seems to make it alright

As morning light breaks
They run to kiss your face
When you feel worn out
We see beauty and strength

Months turn to years
And soon there’ll be tears
‘Cause our children won’t need you
To always be there

And when they leave home
We will grow old
‘Til, like children ourselves
Still in love, we will go

I came across this cute little poem the other day and found it so fitting for Mother's. I have to admit this was not the best Mother's Day ever but the only thing that really matter's is I got to spend it with my amazing family. There were no picture's taken as Aubrey was sicker than she has every been. Turns out she had a horrible ear infection (the cause of her 104 fever) and the medicine they gave her was not working. I am happy to report that today she is doing MUCH better. She is still worn out and not 100% but I will take it compared to how she was this weekend. Her and I took a nice LONG nap on Sunday which was a great mother's day gift. Yesterday Justin had his wisdom teeth pulled so needless to say things around here have been BUSY! I promise there will be lots of pictures, and excitment coming back to the blog! How can I not blog about my two adorable children? Oh and in more exciting news I am FINALLY feeling the baby move! I love that feeling more than anything so I am beyond thrilled. I go back to the doctor on Friday for a rotuine check so I'm sure there will be lots to talk about after that!

Picture Fun...

Last week I decided I wanted some new outdoor picture's taken of the kids! We went with my step sister Lori on Saturday to the K-State Gardens, and attempted to get some good shots of both kids. Unfortunately both kids had decided that they did NOT want their pictures taken that day. I didn't push them to much therefore we didn't get a whole lot of great ones. I don't blame them for wanting to play instead of have their pictures taken it was FINALLY a day we could spend outside so we needed to take full advantage! We had lots of fun running around the gardens and Aubrey feel asleep on the living room floor as soon as we got home! Enjoy!

Aubrey's Graduation...

Aubrey had her preschool graduation last Thursday night as well! While she was beyond adorable she did not have the attention span that Colten's class did. It was cute to see them all running all over the stage but I felt bad for the teacher's however I am sure they expected it. Aubrey loves her school however she can only go one day a week so starting in June we will switch her to Oak Grove, and she will be with Colten. They will attend three days a week in June, two days a week in July and then when school starts it will be back to three days a week. I'm excited for them to go whole days instead of the half days they are currently in. It's a lot to get them ran to where they need to go over lunch. Any way's back to graduation! Here is Aubrey in her classroom!

On the stage. She forgot she was suppose to be signing!

Again forgot that she is suppose to look at the crowd not her friends!

Finally signing This Little Lite of Mine!

Isn't she adorable?

FINALLY paying attention!

Colten was a GRUMP so he watched from grandpa's shoulder's!

After she got to come sit with us while the big kids finished up!

Then we all headed to Pizza Hut to celebrate both graduations!
She LOVES her grandma Karen.

Colten ate a ton!

Grandma was nice enough to get them each a little present!

Love my monkey's! They are pretty perfect!

Colten's Graduation...

Well my four year old perfect baby boy had a preschool graduation program on Tuesday night. I know I shouldn't but as I sat there and watched him wave to me from the stage I couldn't help but let my mind wonder off to other places thinking about how I should have two up there. Things like this are always hard and bitter sweet. I want to be so positive for Colten but part of us is missing. I know that I shouldn't think like that as we have been blessed with so very much and God is continuing to bless us with what we hope and pray is a healthy baby. However on nights like this I can't help but want more. I know there are so many people out there who struggle to even have one and I need to stop my pity party but it's harder still than I ever imagined it would be. Colten is such a sweet compassionate little guy and I can't help but wonder if his brother would be the same way. If he would have the same contagious laugh, the same way of getting out of trouble by saying "but I just love you so much mom" (yes he calls me mom now not mommy...that is a whole nother set of tears). I can't help but wonder who he would be now. What would he become. However that is not going to make things better. I'm sure a lot of my emotions are pregnancy related but GOSH! This is tough. I always thought it would be better as he got older but some how it seems worse. I miss him more as I feel we were cheated out of so much. Okay enough on that. My precious Hubba Bubba graduated from preschool (well sort of because he's still not old enough for kindergarten)! I was one proud mama and he did an amazing job of performing the other night. Oh how I want him to stay little and sweet forever!
Here he is getting ready to go in to his graduation celebration. Gosh he is perfect!

Of course his sister was their to support him. She was upset because it was not her graduation day (that is tonight).

They have SO much love for each other. They truly are best friends.

Playing tag in the gym!

He waved to his mama from the stage. I love him SO much!

I don't think he's signing like he's suppose to be!

There that's better!

Going down to get his certificate! I am so happy but still can not believe he is this big already! Time goes WAY to fast!

Coming to sit with us!

He was pretty proud of himself and he should be! He did a great job.

Now we have the not so easy task of convincing him he doesn't get to go to kindergarten! He told me the other day he was to smart for preschool. I think he may be right!
