Dodge Ball Party...

Colten was blessed with a wonderful turn out for his dodge ball birthday party this year!  He had about 35 kids + adults...needless to say he's a loved kid.
This year he wanted a dodge ball party.  We rented out the school gym and he loved it! They played dodge ball, and other games the whole time.  All kids seemed happy which made me a happy mama!

Winter Dance...

Both girls did the Winter dance clinic this year and had a blast.  Still hard to believe that Claire is old enough to participate in stuff like this.  Addison, and Amyah dance also and it was so fun to watch all four girls.  Can't wait to watch them all at the recital in May.

Basketball...

Colten is still loving EVERY minute of basketball season.  Justin, and I are very proud of all the hard work he has put in to make this season a success! During this game he shot two free throws and made them both!  He was so excited after, and Justin and I could not be more proud.

Sidelines...

Colten got to spend another fun day on the sidelines this season. It is always his favorite game of the season and I am thankful he has been given this opportunity year after year.

Jeret's Day...

Wow. It is surreal to think another year has come and gone and we still miss our little boy as much as we did in the beginning.  We have moved on but our hearts will never be whole.  We long to be a complete family here on earth.  We watch Colten, Aubrey, and Claire and think about how blessed we are but it doesn't stop us from wanting more.  Longing for more.
Our grief has been a journey for the past nine years and as each year comes and goes we know that there will never be a day when we don't long for you as much as we did those first few days.
We get up in the morning and function but a day does not come and go without having you in our thoughts at least once.  A day does not go by without me thinking about what our life would be like having you here on earth too.
It breaks my heart that your siblings know so much about death at such young ages but at the same time I am forever grateful for the connection you still have with them.  For the random comments from Claire about the shadowbox hanging in our room.  For the connections where they randomly mention how much they miss your or when they tell us how you got them to earth safely.  Our hearts break a little every time we hear these things but at the same time I am so grateful because they have not forgotten you.
I am grateful that they long to spend time with you just as much as Justin and I do.
I am grateful because even though you are not here with us are family is not complete without you.
I am thankful for the life lessons you have taught me on being a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend. I would not be who I am today if it weren't for you.
I hope you always know how loved you are.
How grateful we are that you are spending your days with Jesus, and watching over us.

Nine...

Today this sweet boy turns nine years old.
I can't even imagine what life would be like without him.  He brings so much joy and happiness to our lives and I am so thankful that we get to call him ours!
There were days when we wondered if we would be able to watch him grow old and I am so glad that God gave us this opportunity.
At nine years old Colten is a wonderful role model for his two sisters, and cousins.  He is constantly putting others first, excelling in school, and works his tail off at every sport he plays.
Colten Michael I hope your birthday is half as wonderful as you are, and that you always know how much we love you!
Happy Birthday sweet boy!

First Reconciliation...

After basketball yesterday Aubrey had First Reconciliation. It is always amazing to watch their journey of faith and she was so excited to take the next step.
She had lots of family to support her yesterday. A fortunate girl for sure.

Love the smile on her face before.

Here she is walking in.
Made it even more special that she was paired with one of her best friends Anna.

Miss Claire had enough.  She was really good considering she was exhausted.
Heading back to confession.
Then it was back to her seat. She looks so happy.

Unfortunately Claire didn't get any happier.

We had a nice reception with cookies, and punch after.

A very blessed day for sure.
