We had a wonderful Spring Break in Washington D.C. a couple of weeks ago! We packed in as much as we possibly could!
Night one Justin and Colten went to a NBA game and had a great time! Colten LOVES the NBA and Justin said it really showed at the game! We landed at about lunch time so by the time we got checked into the hotel and ate lunch it was late afternoon. We explored the area around the hotel and the girls and I went to a mall (it was FREEZING outside) while the boys hit the game up!
Day two was packed with tours! Unfortunately the White House Tour was canceled due to a security breach.
Day three and four were spent in Maryland visiting some good friends. It was so wonderful to see them all again. We hit a WONDERFUL children's museum and had a great lunch in Baltimore. Colten stayed back with his friend and they had some quality time together. We also attended a couple of Maryland baseball games which was fun and different!
Day 5 was full of exploring on our own. We loved getting to see the white house! It was a fun day walking around to the different monuments.
They loved finding Kansas things!
Day 6 we hit the capital! It was fun to see it all in person!
We also got to hit up the air and space museum as one last thing before heading home. I hope we built some memories to last a life time. We feel truly blessed that we got to enjoy some time as a family before the craziness that life is throwing at us this spring hits!
