More Fun With The Tadtman's

We had a pretty low key weekend (which is ALWAYS nice). On Friday night the kids stayed home with Papa while Justin and I went out to country stampede. Colten was very excited Because Bricen was able to stay with us too while his mommy worked! The had lots of fun getting into everything and playing. On Saturday we enjoyed some time at the pool. We also had a movie night on Saturday night and Colten got to pick all by himself. We ended up with Ninja Turtles (Colten is VERY into them). He loved every minute of it. Sissy didn't really care to much but she enjoyed playing with her babies while we watched the movie. I did not do a very good job of taking pictures this weekend but thought I would share the ones I got.

Colten driving his tractor outside of sears...God Love him. He's the perfect little man.

The boys...big surprise they didn't want to have their pictures taken.

Sissy in the car she's such a happy girl. Oh yea one more thing! On Sunday we took Colten out to hit golf balls with Daddy! He loved it! He did a great job too and was really good about taking turns with daddy. My only concern was that he wanted to use his left hand....that sound like it is going to be way more expensive! Like I said I didn't do a very good job of taking pictures this weekend but am hoping to get some good ones soon.

Dierks Bentley

On Friday night Justin and I were able to meet Dierks Bentley out at stampede! As you can tell I was very excited and thought I would post the picture. We had a great time however as always it was very hard to leave the kidos (I think they had a great time at home playing with Papa)!

Bath Time Fun

Well last night we were planning on going to the pool after we ate (Bricen was staying with us since his mommy had to work until late). Well we got all three of the kidos dressed, loaded up, and to the pool. However the second we got into the pool the life guard blew her whistle because of lighting. A few minutes later it POORED! So we settled for some Coldstone Ice Cream and a nice long bath! Here are some pictures from bath time.

The kidos in their PJ's after baths.

Aubrey wanted to shave!

Bricen shaved too!

Colten decided that he would rather drink Aubrey's bottle than take a bath! That kid is obsessed with bottles! I guess we need to take it from Aubs too so that Colt is never tempted!

Father's Day Continued

Well like I said before I hope that all the daddy's out there had a FANTASTIC day. We are so thankful for our Daddy and all he does for us!

I thought I would share some of the activities from the weekend. I plan on getting a book made of our Blog at some point so I'm really wanting to become a better blogger so that I have all my kidos milestones bookmarked. Sorry. I'm sure there will be way to many details for some of you.

Our Father's day weekend went like this:

On Friday night we took the kidos to Freddy's for super. It's one of Colten's favorite places to go now days and Justin and I like that it's cheap! After we ate we headed over to Petco to look around. Colten and Aubrey enjoyed seeing all the fish, snakes, birds, rats, mice, hamsters, kitties, etc. It was a great little outing.

Saturday was a pretty lazy day. We went and ate lunch at McCallisters then headed to best buy and the mall. I purchased a deep freeze and am VERY excited about it. After that we went home for naps and were pretty much lazy bums. We watched Finding Nemo as a family Saturday night. Colten sat through the whole thing and talked lots about the fishies. We had a great time.

Father's Day morning Justin got up and went and played golf with his Dad and Brother. They had a good time and we are so glad that the kids got to see their Grandpa Jim which is ALWAYS an added bonus. The kidos bought Justin some books for him to read to them. They were very excited about everything and we hope that Justin had a great day.

Aubrey's vocabulary is really starting to grow and we enjoy listening to her. She has master puppy, kitty, know what a horsey says, Mommy (not just mama), Daddy, and MANY more words. She even says what sounds like thank you after we hand her things. We are still working on trying to get her to say Colten but have not had any luck yet.

Here is Justin and his favorite boy Father's Day weekend at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Justin and his baby Girl. She wanted no part of having her picture taken. Sorry I had to post it anyways (after all it was Father's Day).

I just thought that even though this is dark its still cute so I posted it!

Father's Day Weekend

Miss Aubrey riding the "horsey" at the mall. She says neigh now when she sees them. I think it's REALLY cute.

Mr. Colten riding the horse too. He throws a fit if he doesn't get to ride before leaving. I love him fits and all!

This is the only way that I can get the kidos to go grocery shopping with me. They are very happy as long as they get to drive while I shop. Atleast they are still and not running everywhere.

Playing in the dogs water outside.

CRAZY HAIR. It was very humid and this is what happened with the hair. I love the curls.

Big boy finally cheesed me. It only took like ten times to get!
As you can see we had a very busy father's day weekend. We had a lot of fun and were glad that we got to love on Daddy all weekend. I plan on posting more details and pictures later this week but thought I would share a few pictures with you all now. Hope you enjoyed them and that all the dad's out there had a great Father's day.

Happy Friday!

The kidos walking towards Grandmas house. I love have Colten is looking back at me! Notice he doesn't have shoes on....He's always way to grumpy in the morning and that's one battle I choose not to fight. Neither Justin or I are morning people...surely he doesn't get being grumpy from us.

Holding hands and walking back towards me! Have I mentioned that I love them?

I just thought that I would share a couple of photos from this morning when I drooped the kidos off at Grandma Karen's. I was in a hurry this morning and Grandma always meets us outside (I know I'm spoiled) so I was just going to let her bring them on in but when they took each others hands and headed towards the door I knew I needed to stop and take some pictures. I did however make them come back and do it again because by the time I got the camera out they were to the door. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do. Its moments like this that make all the sleepless nights, and early mornings worth it!

Cottonwood Falls

Well June has really slowed down for us and we are very grateful for that. The kids and I are very happy to have daddy back and we are looking forward to being able to spend some more time together as a family.

Last weekend we went to the symphony on the Flint Hills. It was absolutely gorgeous. I was very nervous on how the kids would do but they did awesome. They really love being outside and they were able to run around a little. Before the concert we went to Grandpa Jim and Mime's store in Cottonwood Falls. Colten was able to ride the horse (not a real one) Champion SEVERAL times. Aubrey enjoyed walking around and looking at all the pretty jewelry. After our visit to the store we headed out to the house and saw the donkey's and horses. It was lots of fun. We feed them SEVERAL cookies and enjoyed spending time with everyone. Aubrey was a little unsure of all the animals but warmed up after a while. Colten took to everything really well and now has decide he wants a puppy of his own (Meme has a little Pomeranian mix that Colten fell in LOVE with). Jack and Newman do not have the patience for him and he wants a puppy now. Hopefully he will forget about it soon!

I regret to say that our camera didn't have batteries so we were not able to capture the moments. Oh well I guess that means we just have to do it again very soon. Hopefully uncle Dan will give us copies of the pictures he took.

I thought that I would share a couple random photos because they are what makes the post....enjoy!

Aubrey getting some love from Bricen. Both Colten and Aubrey LOVE spending time with him.

Big News in the Tadtman Household!

Easy, its not what you think.
After 15 and a half months, we can finally see Aubrey's first tooth. We are glad that we don't have to invest in dentures.

Just a couple pictures!

Colten helping Grandma plant flowers at her house...pretty sure Grandma spoils them rotten...oh well we wouldnt have it any other way.

Aubrey had so much fun playing that she feel asleep in the tube at Grandma's house. I thought it was to cute and had to post it! Thanks for the pictures Grandma!

The babies are no longer babies!

So I have been obsessing a lot lately about how big my two kidos are getting. I just thought that I would post some pictures so all of you can realize how big they both are and sympathise with me over the fact that I no longer have a baby! We have officially entered the world of having two toddlers and let me tell you that it a very sad story for me (I love newborns). Let me also say that it is a REALLY good thing that Justin and I are going to have a niece in October or I would definitely be catching baby fever right now. Here are a few photos so I can prove to everyone (all three of you who read my blog) that I no longer have babies.

Miss Aubrey at 1 day old.
Aubrey at 15 months. She is walking and talking....no longer a baby for sure!

Colten just a couple of weeks old. Still in the hospital. He was so tiny!

Colten (now 29 months) is always all smiles....except when he wants a bottle and we tell him no!

Colten and Aubrey during Aubrey's first weeks at home.

The two of them now! Aubrey and Colten love each other! They play awesome together and we enjoy it when they become excited to see each other.
And Again...

Colten giving his new baby sister kisses. This was on my birthday. Aubrey was five days old here and Colten was 14 and a half months. He loved her from the begining!

Now Aubrey (15 months) and Colten (29 months) like to play together and she gives him rides on her walker!

May 2009

Colt driving the fire truck. He really enjoyed being a big boy and driving.

Colten, Gabby, and Aubrey sharing some popcorn at the baseball game in Lawerence. Gabby's parents have Aubrey as a God daughter.

Aubrey and I on the boat. She loves me.

The kids, daddy and grandpa ridding the boat in OKC. They didnt like it as much as I thought they would.

The kidos driving in the Topeka mall before we headed to Lawerence to watch the Cats play.

Colten riding one of the buffalo outside the ball field.

The girls after we beat rice. We had so much fun and it wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it might be to leave the kids for the weekend. I was however VERY ready to get back to them.

A few of us down in Oklahoma City feeding the ducks. The kids loved it. The Ducks made me a little nervous...oh well I guess that is how memories are formed!

May 2009

Justin and I in Huston after we beat Rice...unfortunately we couldn't beat them again.

Blogging

I want to start by apologizing for being such a horrible blogger. I always say that I am going to do it and keep up and then time and time again break my vow. Our lives have been so busy lately and blogging is the one thing that I fail miserably at keeping up with. I just thought that I would give everyone a quick update on what the Tadtman family has been up to for the past month or so.

May came and went with a blink of an eye. We started May off with a trip to Stillwater Ok to see the cats play. We didn't not decide to go until the VERY last minute but needless to say it was a lot of fun. The trip was a lot of fun however we did not get to see a single inning of baseball be played. They played two games on Friday (due to the forecast), and then on Saturday the field was not in good condition to play. It was still a lot of fun to go and spend time with Justin. We didn't do a lot other than enjoy each other.

The following week we had two mid week games against BYU and a home series. We went to all of the games...Imagine that. They were a lot of fun except for the fact that we did not play very well. It is always nice however to hang out with the baseball staff. We have lots of fun together and have grown to be very close this season.

The third weekend in May was Justin's birthday. I bet you will never guess where we celebrated...that's right the ball field! Imagine that. Needless to say it was exciting. He got lots of good gifts and we enjoyed a Wildcat Victory. On Saturday we went to Lawrence and enjoyed the ball game as well as seeing Aubrey's Godparents David and Samantha Hardy and their daughter Gabby. The kids had a lot of fun seeing Gabby and playing with her.

The following week the kids and I and the other wives took a fun trip down to Oklahoma City to watch the Big 12 tournament. We really had a lot of fun. We left Tuesday and came back Saturday so it was a short trip but while we were there we enjoyed several baseball games, a trip to the zoo, and several trips to feed the ducks. Grandpa Jim, Aunt Sara, and Uncle Dan even made it down on Friday night to hang out. With them we enjoyed a trip to the Bass Pro Shop, and a carriage ride through Bricktown. Colten loved both, and Aubrey slept through both.

Memorial day we took a trip out to the cemetery to visit Jeret. We miss him everyday but find peace in knowing hes in a better place and he has his Great Grandma with him in Heaven.

Last weekend I flew down to Huston for the Regional tournament. It was my first time to leave the kids but Justin and I really enjoyed spending some time together. You forget how easy it is to just get up and go somewhere without having to get two little ones ready. Needless to say in the end the Cats came up a little short. We are still so proud of them and all they accomplished this season.

Now that baseball is over I have no idea what we are going to do with all of our free time. It will however be nice to spend some time at home with the family. Justin has not had a weekend off since Feb. so it will be nice to have him home again.

And now a quick update on the kids:

Colten loves baseball and Justin and I really enjoy watching him at the games. He surprises us every game. We were sitting there at several different points in the season and he would randomly yell things and cheer for his wildcats. Its funny how at two years old he has his favorite players and an opinion on what they should do (ie. hit a home run, catch the ball, strike out the batter). He is also obsessed with wearing hats and has figured out when the hat is on backwards he is the catcher and when it is forward he is either the batter or the pitcher. He has even developed a pitching stance. He is a lot of fun and we enjoy watching him grow and mature.

Aubrey just started walking this past week. She is very proud of her self. She has no problem keeping up with her big brother and I am excited to watch them grow together. She is very into doing her own thing with out my help. It makes me sad to thing that what very well could be my last baby is no longer a baby. She brings so much joy to our lives. She had her 15 month check this week and is in the 97th percentile for head, 84th for height, and the 42nd for weight. She is our tall skinny girl.

I hope to get some pictures posted this afternoon and promise to be a better blogger in the weeks to come.
