Baby AJ...

A few weeks ago our good friends packed their stuff and moved to Texas. Ever since then Colten has been going crazy! They have a little one and Colten is obsessed with him. Every since they left I have heard I miss baby AJ, can we move to Texas too? I wish I had put a dollar into his piggy bank every time he said this as half of his college would be paid for by now! Before they left we were fortunate enough to get to spend some good quality time together.
AJ and I. Isn't he adorable?

Aubrey misses him too just not NEARLY as much as her brother!

Well not the best picture ever but we all love baby AJ.

It's so sad to see Colten so upset about him leaving. It's the first time that he has really processed a "friend" not being around anymore. I keep telling him that is part of life, and he looks at me every time and says it's not a very fun part.

Of course we are going to miss his Mommy too.

We are lucky and they will be back for a few days in April. I haven't told Colten yet, I want it to be a suprise! We can't wait!

Baseball Fun...

There have been about 1098792309478267 home runs hit in our house tonight, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Happy Birthday Auntie Whit...

Auntie Whit had her birthday a couple of weeks ago so naturally we had to celebrate. We went to La Fiesta for dinner and everyone had a wonderful time!
Here is Doodle before dinner with her Auntie.

Getting cake put in her face!

Aubrey wanted to wear the hat too. Colten was to busy clowning around with Bricen for pcitures!

Dance, Dance,,,

Aubrey had her first dance recital! Let me just tell you that it was adorable. Really it was just them showing us the movements, etc. that she learned the past six weeks in class but I was still one proud mama. Still can't belleve that my kids are growing up this fast and old enough to be in activites!
Here she is being a goofy girl!

Dancing!

Doing the motions!

She is a very sweet girl!

After class. Love her face in this one!

A good one of the three of us!

A Nice Weekend...

This weekend was BEAUTIFUL out, and the kids and I took full advantage of playing outside. We rode bikes, jumped on the trampoline, ventured over to the park, and played both football, and baseball. It definitely made me ready for spring. After all the snow we have had it was a very welcome change in climate. I only got one picture but still thought I would document out three hours of outdoor fun.

Roller Skating...

I took the kids Roller Skating on Saturday night and Miss Doddle Bug LOVED it. Colten could not take the skates off fast enough, hence no pictures of him! 

Kansas City...

The kid's and I packed up and headed to Kansas City this weekend. Other than missing daddy we all had lots of fun. You forget how great it is to see the looks on their faces when they get to do something they really want to. We had a great time swimming, staying in a hotel, visiting the American Girl Store, Getting supplies for Aubrey's birthday party, and riding the rides in the mall. All in all the trip was a success and they can not wait to head to Kansas City again!
Here Aubrey is eating her pizza.

Getting ready to head to the pool!

Colten listening to the "plan". He is adorable, and always wants to know what the plan is before we do things. He likes to know what is next.

Aubrey having a GREAT time in the American Girl Store. She picked out lots of things that would be perfect (in her words) for her birthday.

Playing in the mall.

Waiting in line for the carousal.

This one makes me laugh.

Aubrey loved it!

She wanted to take a picture of me...silly girl!

Colten liked it too!

Good Bill of Health...

Colten had a follow up appointment with his ENT doctor yesterday and I am happy to report that everything looked great. I absolutely LOVE his doctor, he is so good with Colten, and can really relate to us as he had a preemie of his own. Its great to see the progress Colten has made since his surgery last July. We have had a lot less trips to our regular doctor, and he sleep through the night now that his snoring doesn't wake him up. We are so blessed that our pediatrician is not afraid to refer us on so that our children can have the best care possible.

Wildcat Victory...

Justin and I were fortunate enough to witness the Wildcat Victory last night and it was great! The Cat's played KU on Big Monday and defeated the #1 team in the country by 16 points. We had a lot of fun, especially Justin who ventured over to Lawrence a couple of weeks ago to watch the Cat's get killed by the Hawks, so he really enjoyed the tables being turned. The kids stayed home, and I am really glad they did. They would not have enjoyed the noise in Bramelege last night. What a great day to be a Wildcat. It is always nice to beat your Rivals!

Jamar coming off the court (I was really trying to get a good one of Jake but that didn't happen).

Martin still not happy...to funny!

The students were pretty excited!

When they knew they had it won!

Good for them! Go Cat's!

Justin and I glad the cat's won!

Rushed the Court!

Justin and I again!

What a great night!

Happy Valentine's Day...

Happy Valentine's Day!

The kid's received their Valentine's last night and had a lot of fun searching the house for them. I love that they are at the age where they are SO excited about every little Holiday. It makes life so much fun to see the excitement on their faces. We got home last night and decided to let them do their Valentine's hunt. They were thrilled as they had no idea that it was going to happen (there is a basketball game tonight (Go Cat's), and we are having dinner with some family before), but it was perfect timing.
We decided to let them hunt for their gifts this year. I hate buying paper, bags, and gift wrap items to use once a year and then store so we figured if they could search the house high and low it would be fun for them.
The search started in the kitchen. Who says that bribery isn't a good thing? It's the only way I can get them to pose for a picture!

They decided to check in the oven...

It wasn't in there so they ventured to the next room...

Aubrey's room was next on the list...

Then we checked under Colten's bed...

Finally we found them in the bathtub!

Colten looks less than thrilled but he really was excited!

Hope everyone else has a great Valentine's day!
